Chef Bimo Prakoso, Winner of Grand Hyatt Bali Good Taste Series Preliminary Round

Meet Chef Bimo Prakoso, our Commis Chef at Nampu and a passionate, talented and resourceful chef whose love for cooking started early on when he was in high school.
As a testament to Hyatt’s commitment to culinary excellence and creativity, Grand Hyatt Bali held The Good Taste Series preliminary round earlier this August. The Good Taste Series enhances the strong foundation that Hyatt has built for career development as this annual global contest cultivates emerging chefs and celebrates cultural diversity.

Contestants were given a mystery black box that included lamb rack, raddish and pumpkin. Given only one hour to explore their creative thinking and develop a spectacular dish for the judges, Chef Bimo successfully prepared an aromatic lamb chop served with pumpkin veloute and a delightful surprise of pickled daikon compote.
Yesterday he competed in The Good Taste Series 2019 - South East Asia Regional Semi Finals that took place in Grand Hyatt Singapore. On cooking, Chef Bimo strongly feels it to be an extraordinary thing. It is an art that you can feel with all your senses, he says. .
