lets take a tour to a beautiful and natural scenery place in Bali, and today we want to take you to Tirta Empul and Mengening Temple.

both temple are a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring, Bali, Indonesia.

Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese.
The name of the temple comes from the ground water source named "Tirta Empul".

The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification.

founded around a large water spring in 962 A.D. during the Warmadewa dynasty (10th-14th centuries).

Tirta Empul temple is divided into three sections:
Jaba Pura (front yard)
Jaba Tengah (central yard)
and Jeroan (inner yard).

Tirta Empul temple is built and dedicated to Vishnu, Hindu god name for the supreme consciousness Narayana.

and located near to the Tirta Empul temple, we continue to Mengening temple, built in the valley of the Pakerisan river.
With a very cool temple area and beautiful natural scenery, this temple is also used as a place of self-purification.

There are 2 separate self-purification areas for men and women.
This area is a natural spring that has existed since the 11th century.
